SMALL GROUP TRAINING

Small Group Training (SGT) has come to Barbell Samurai!

 

As of August 6th 2018 Barbell Samurai has rolled out a SGT schedule with 26 Small Group sessions per week, plus 6 sessions dedicated to the 6 Week Challenge.

 

Classes are limited to 8 people to ensure that each person gets some personal instruction and coaching in every single session.

Class Descriptions

6WC – The 6-week challenge session, these are an exclusive class for the people participating in the 6-week challenge

Weight + Cond – This will be the same session as the 6WC session the day before. It will be a combination of full body weights with some HIIT conditioning. The Saturday 8.30am will be an extended 60-minute version

HIIT Conditioning – A session using sleds, ropes, Assault Bikes, rowers, deadballs, kettlebells, bodyweight exercises and some sprint-based exercises. This will be focused on high intensity work periods with short rest.

Strongman Cond – A session using sleds, farmers walks, deadballs, kettle bells, the yoke (for those game). This will be using heavy weights for longer rest periods, it will be a conditioning based session with a strength component to it

Mixed Cond – A combination of HIIT conditioning and strongman conditioning.

Weights (Full Body) – A strength session were the main movement patterns will be covered

Barbell Samurai is a small performance gym in Deepdene. Our focus is on improving strength, performance and function. We are a membership based gym that can be used by all members either with or without a trainer. We offer personal training and group sessions with our highly trained, and experienced, coaches.
